WSR Methodology Based Research on the Mechanism of Online Public Opinion Governance

Abstract: The influence of online public opinion has become increasingly apparent, and how to manage online public opinion has become more and more important. The governance of online public opinion is characterized by complexity, systematicity and difficulty. As a result, a complete network public opinion governance system needs to be established under the guidance of system methodology. Based on the Wuli-Shili-Renli (WSR) methodology, this paper conducts research with a combination of qualitative and quantitative on the core issue of governance mechanism with 297 policies of Chinese online public opinion governance during 20 years (1997-2018).This study intends to analyze the governance mechanism and governance procedures of China's online public opinion governance in a comprehensive and systematic way, in order to provide some reference for online public opinion governance.
