Characteristics of the Collaborative Innovation Network in the Xinjiang Innovation Development Pilot Zone and Its Impact on Innovation Performance

摘要: 在推动经济社会高质量发展的战略框架下,协同创新作为关键路径之一,对于优化资源配置、促进产业升级和推动区域发展具有重要意义。本文以新疆科技进步奖数据为基础,构建了新疆创新发展试验区的协同创新网络,并探索了该网络结构特征对创新绩效的影响。结果显示,随着时间的推移,新疆创新发展试验区的协同创新程度逐步增强,呈现明显的阶段性发展模式。进一步分析表明,网络中的中心度、结构洞等特征对创新绩效具有显著影响,且该影响对于创新发展核心区和非核心区存在异质性。本研究为促进新疆创新体系的优化和发展提供了经验支撑和政策建议。

Abstract: Under the strategic framework of promoting high-quality economic and social development, collaborative innovation stands as a critical pathway, playing a significant role in optimizing resource allocation, facilitating industrial upgrading, and driving regional deve-lopment. Leveraging data from the Xinjiang Science and Technology Progress Award, this study constructs a collaborative innovation network for the Xinjiang region and investigates the influence of its structural characteristics on innovation performance. The findings indicate that over time, the level of collaborative innovation in Xinjiang’s development trial zone has progressively strengthened, demonstrating a distinct phased development pattern. Further analysis reveals that network features such as centrality and structural holes have a significant impact on innovation performance, with this impact exhibiting heterogeneity between core and non-core innovation regions. This research provides empirical support and policy recommendations for advancing the optimization and development of Xinjiang’s innovation ecosystem.
